The Thorndale Hatchery, also known as The Stock Farm and Hatchery, bred chickens and Holstein cattle and was operated in Milner, B.C., by J. H. Mufford & Sons from the 1920s to the 1960s, and for a time was considered one of the most successful hatcheries in the province.
