The refurbished "MV Aggasiz" on the Fraser River. The boat, which was tied up at Reeve Pete Jenewin's wharf near Albion, had been idle since it was retired from Agassiz - Rosedale by the new bridge. The Langley Advance, March 7, 1957, page 8. The photo was used again on May 30, 1957, with a caption that read "CRAFT THAT WILL PLY its way back and forth from McMillan Island to Albion is this ferry boat that has snuggled against the north bank during the past winter. The boat has been inactive since it was retired from the Agassiz-Rosedale run last fall when the new bridge was opened there. Engines have been refurbished and the whole boat boasts a new coat of paint. Estimated time for the boat to make the crossing is about 20 minutes each way."
