1 Dinner Plate : semi-porcelain ; 25 x 25 cm. This white dinner plate is made by Alfred Meakin, and has the Harmony Rose pattern. There is gold detail around the outside rim of the plate. There is a pink and green rose pattern around the circumference of the plate, and a cluster of pink roses with green leaves in the centre of the plate. There is a dark green stamp reading "BY/ Alfred Meakin/ England" on the bottom of the plate. Below that stamp is a light green stamp reading "'HARMONY'/ ROSE." There is a gold circle of laurel leaves with a crown and the words "ROYAL SEMI PORCELAIN" inside, which is partially overtop of the word "BY." There is one small gold mark below the dark and light green stamps, and a light green mark resembling a handwritten "T" and two dashes across from the stamps. Pieces in this series belonged to Dorothy (nee Wicken) and Russ Brown, or Dorothy's sister Edith Margaret Hawkins.
