Elizabeth Vannetta (nee Murchison) was the daughter of Alexander and Isabel Murchison (nee Beaton). Married William Henry Vannetta. Their son Alexander, born 1873, was the first Caucasian boy born in Langley. Please note correct spelling of his name is Vannetta, not Vanetta. Married Elizabeth Vannetta (nee Murchison). Arrived in B.C. in 1873. Spelling of his name is sometimes Vannetta, although his obituary states it as "Vanetta". See photograph of Vannetta Park in Roads and Place Names in Langley, B.C. page 70 to confirm. William Henry Vanetta died on May 23, 1930 in Aldergrove at the age of 84.
