A silver pin shaped like a totem pole. The word "PROVINCE" is written across the top, the word "TILLICUM" is written down the centre, and the word "KLA'HOWYA" is written across the bottom. This pin was given to members of The Vancouver Daily Province's Tillicum Club, which sponsored the paper in the 1950s to promote children's stories from all coastal cultures. "Tillicum" is a word in Chinook jargon that means people, family, or relatives; "kla'howya" is the standard greeting in Chinook jargon. A small card (object ID 2009.004.044) accompanies the pin.
