Description
Laura Rawlison in 1955.
People/Subject
Rawlison, Laura
Laura Margaret Rawlison was born in 1891 to parents William Henry and Sarah Rawlison (nee Mavis). She was baptized by Reverend Bell, probably in a Fort Langley home or in the School House, although it is not stated in the record. Laura never married. Laura appeared on the members list of St. George's Church in 1914, at the age of 23, and she remained a supporter of the church until she died. She was parish treasurer during the 1940s, and after she died in 1969, she was commemorated by a plaque mounted on the south wall of the nave given by the ACW. On April 23, 1970, a New English Bible was presented to the church in Laura's memory.
Term Source: "The Rawlison Family," assisted by Elaine Ford -nee Rawlison.
