Christensen, Carl Alfred
Carl Alfred Christensen, born about 1895, left his homeland of Denmark in 1911 and travelled to Chile for two years as a carpenter in the whaling industry. He came to Canada in 1914, and worked for the CPR in Calgary. Ending up in Langley, Carl was able to use his skills as a carpenter to help build Aldergrove Secondary School and the municipal hall in Murrayville. He also spent three years working on the Lions Gate and Pattulo Bridges. Nearing retirement, Carl took up farming. Carl had married Signa Mana Carlson of Sweden, and the couple had lived on Telegraph Trail for 45 years before moving to Aldergrove. Carl died at the age of 85 on December 1, 1980.
Dahl, Albert
Albert Dahl was born on February 6, 1888, in Borgestad, Norway. The 1911 Canada census (Kenora, Ontario) states he arrived in Canada in 1908. He married to Helga Edvarda Solvieg Magnussen on June 16, 1913 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and they had 5 children: Edna, Pearl, Nora, Ralph, and Raymond. They settled in the Sperling District in 1928, where Albert was an active carpenter and commercial fisherman until his retirement. Albert made his own boats. Albert was a long time member of the Harmsworth Cribbage Club, and died on June 1, 1973 at the age of 85.

Dahl, Helga Edvarda Solveig
Helga Edvarda Solveig Magnussen was born February 27, 1895 in Kristiania (Oslo), Norway. She immigrated to Canada in 1908. She married Albert Dahl on June 16, 1913 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They settled in Langley, in the Sperling District, in about 1928. The couple had 5 children: Edna, Pearl, Nora, Ralph, and Raymond. She died in 1973.

Harbidge, Alfred William
Alfred William Harbidge owned a small acreage in Langley. He had three sons: Cecil, Terry, and Les. Les owned a broiler farm and became a successful farmer. Alfred died in 1979.

Les Harbidge was a son of Alfred William Harbidge, who owned a small acreage in Langley. Les had two brothers, Cecil and Terry. Les owned a broiler farm and became a successful farmer.
Medd, Ralph
Son of William and Ann Medd (nee Holding). Born January 7, 1883 and died January 9, 1972.
