Penzer, Edward "Ted" Ez
Edward "Ted" Ezer Penzer was born in Vancouver on October 20, 1892 to Mr. and Mrs. Ezer Edward Penzer, both originally from England. His father died when Ted was about 16. The Penzer family lived in Saskatchewan during World War I, and moved to Aldergrove in the 1920's, and then moved on to Langley. The farm they lived at was known as the Penzer Red Farm. Ted retired from farming at age 70. Ted was an active member of the Aldergrove Elks Lodge #66 and very good at reciting lodge ritual. Ted has a lot of friends in Langley and his birthdays always made the newspaper. Ted passed away at the age of 107 on January 15, 2000 at Cedar Hill Centre, Langley. He was cremated and his ashes are buried in the family plot Mountain View Cemetary, Vancouver.
