Linwood's Shoe Store

Linwood's Shoe Store was owned and operated by Englishman Joseph Linwood. The shoe business was sold to Linwood from a man named Harvey Morwood when Linwood moved from Saskatchewan to Langley in 1934. The business was moved to face Glover Road and was named "Linwood's Shoe Hospital". The business was moved again in 1950 near the roads Yale and New McLellan which is now known as the corner of Fraser Highway and 56th Avenue. Shortly after the second move, Joseph Linwood died on October 7th 1952 after being in the shoe business for 45 years. Before Josephs passing the business was handed over to his son Dennis.
