1 reproduction Great War (First World War) German M1917 Einheitsfeldmützen cap; the greyish green cap is made out of wool. Front and center of the cap there are two buttons. One above the other. The top button has a black outer border then a white inner border. Beyond these borders the button is painted red with two holes on either side of the center. These wholes are used to stitch the buttons to the cap. The other button directly below follows a similar pattern with the black outer border and a white inner border, but beyond these borders the rest of the button is painted black with two wholes on either side of center also used for stitching the button to the cap. There is also a stripe that goes around the cap in a offset green closer to the ridge.
The inside of the cap has a white lining with a code of arms stamp in black ink. Directly underneath the code of arms in a small banner that reads, "SONDERK....." Below this in a larger font the description reads, "Robert Substein / Militanntitzonlabuik / Berlin N.W.21 / At mode 195 / 59."
