Joseph Zotique was born in 1882 to parents Joseph Michaud and Georgiana Michaud (nee Morin). His first name was Joseph, like his father, but he went by his middle name. Various spellings of his middle name exist. When he was 37 he married Elizabeth Michaud (nee Selander), age 19; the wedding took place on 16 December 1919 at St. Peter's Church, New Westminster.

Harold Robinson was born in Burwick, Nova Scotia. He served in the Cyclist Battalion during World War I in Nova Scotia. He married May MacKay in Enderby, BC, and the couple had a son there, John, before moving in 1926 to a rented property in Murrayville, on Johnston Townline Rd (216th St) near the Murrayville Cemetery. Four other children were born: Marjorie, Louis, Helen and Harold. In 1935 the family moved to the Lattimer house on Glover Road in Milner. Harold worked for the Langley Municipality, building and maintaining roads. During World War II, both Harold and son John joined the RCAF. After World War II the family purchased a home on Topham Road (216th St) and Telegraph Trail. Harold liked to play cribbage, and he enjoyed hockey and fishing. Harold was stationed at Patricia Bay on Vancouver Island in 1949 doing maintenance work when, due to faulty equipment, he was badly crushed towing a plane for the movie "Commandos Strike Again." He died August 19, 1949.
