Members of the North West Langley Fire Department testing their new fire truck at the Port Kells wharf. In attendance was assistant fire chief John Floberg and firefighters Jim Hill, George Burdett, and G. M. Hanson. The new machine was checked out by way of a series of underwritier's association tests, taking up about four hours. The 23-ton fire truck had a carrying capacity of 500 gallons of water and was purchased without a cab in order to save both weight and money.
